Photojournalist Street Photographer’s Camera Kit

My friend James Dewitz was in Thailand for many years, but recently returned to my area for a short time. I’ve been wanting to feature photographers on this channel for a while now and I didn’t want to pass up this opportunity. In this first of two videos we will take a look at part of his camera gear kit interspersed with information about his photography as well as tips … Continue reading

Canon EF-S 10-18mm f4.5-5.6 IS STM Review
Here is my Youtube video review: It’s an ultra-wide lens for APS-C sensor cameras. Under $300 new and even less used. There is a 10-22mm f3.5-4.5 that is also exclusively for APS-C cameras, but it’s around twice the price. The 35mm film equivalent focal length of this lens is 16-29mm. Equipment in this video and accessory suggestions for this lens (affiliated): https://kit.co/photographybanzai/canon-ef-s-10-18mm-f4-5-5-6-is-stm-review-gear My photos you can look at on Flickr … Continue reading

I’ve been really working on my Youtube channel lately!
Hey, it’s been a while. I’ve been working intensely on my Photography Banzai Youtube channel since around August 2017. I’m trying to see if I can really make something special out of it. Partly because I haven’t had much contracted software development work lately (freeing up time), but also because it is one of those projects I’m passionate about improving on to see where it might go in the future. … Continue reading

Licensed Music in Youtube Videos
As you might know, I’ve been submitting videos to Youtube for a while that are connected with my photography in some fashion. The channel is located here if you haven’t seen it before. I always strive to improve the quality and content of my videos. It’s been a great learning process with video/audio and just as rewarding and fun as photography. I had done quite a bit of video editing … Continue reading
Youtube Videos with Playlists
I’ve been spending a lot of time on my Youtube channel. It’s a great way to put photography information out there that appeals to people who prefer video over reading articles like I have on this site. I really enjoy video, so it’s a great match for various reasons. My most recent videos are about photo excursions I’ve been going on: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL73E46A6CCCA62A9C Here is the most recently of that playlist … Continue reading

Rocking, not one, but TWO Pentax Q cameras!
I noticed that the Youtube user Jetdaisuke posted a video about buying not one, but two Pentax Q cameras… While he is Japanese, he has English subtitles on most of his newer videos. If the subtitle (CC) button doesn’t show up, go directly to Youtube instead. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTQAIQKWsjs Pretty interesting. I never would have imagined seeing someone buy two of them considering their target market. However, I will admit their size … Continue reading
Youtube channel past 20,000 views.
My Youtube channel started in January 29 just went past 20,000 total views from 45 videos. It isn’t much compared to some channels I’ve seen on there, but it’s a decent start! That’s around 2000 views per month. http://www.youtube.com/user/photographybanzai Most of the videos are basic photography product overviews, but I also have a few convention videos that I compile from clips I take. I’m looking forward to making more videos. … Continue reading
